Are you stuck? Are you searching for sense of direction for your life? Is fear keeping you in a paralyzed state that you don’t know which road to take, much less, how are you going to get there?
Fear can keep us in a state of confusion and literally cripple us to the point of no movement. It can cause us to question and analyze every decision we make. It can keep us stuck! But we don’t have to remain in that condition because we have a Savior in Jesus Christ. And He loves us so much that He has overcome the world with all its uncertainties.
Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Jesus is the way…your direction. He draws us onto the path which He sets before us, but we are not alone on the journey. He walks it with us. “He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me.” (Psalms 23 3-4) And Jesus is the way to the Father; the only way. He brings us alongside the Father.
He says He is the truth. His Word is a light unto our feet. (Psalms 119:105 NKJV) We face times that we can’t make sense of things, or we don’t have all the answers to overwhelming questions and we become afraid and confused. But the Word of God has the answer to every question. The Holy Spirit brings truth into our hearts and minds and empowers us with hope and strength through His truth. He gives us eyes to see and gives us understanding through His Word. It builds our faith to trust and believe that God is with us and is providing the way to the life He has for us.
Jesus is the life! The Lord said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV) Jesus did not give us a spirit of fear. See II Timothy 1:7 NKJV. But He came to give us eternal life, but also for us to have life here; an abundant life; a different life than the one we have without Him.
We don’t have to live in fear or walk in confusion. Jesus, Himself, is the way, our guide, our companion along this expedition. On this path we may come upon sharp turns; curves or we may stumble and fall, but He will be there to lift us up, heal our hurts and redirect our course. He is the truth, our road map towards our destination. And because of this, He brings us to life. He gives us everything we need from start to finish and provides everything we need in between. And He is always with us, walking with us, showing us the way.
If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior I invite you today to make the decision to receive Jesus. All you have to do is believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and He died on the cross for your sins, and was resurrected. Confess to Jesus that you are a sinner (we all are) and repent of your sins and accept His forgiveness, His mercy and grace. Confess this to someone you know and Jesus will confess you before His Father in heaven. The reason Jesus came was to restore you and me in right relationship with God. We were created for companionship with God, the Father. Because of Jesus, we are forgiven of our sins and God sees us through the righteousness of His Son, Jesus. This was broken, but Jesus chose to come for us out of His love for His Father and His love for us. Everything He does is because of His great love for each one of us.
